The villages

The Emporda is full of charming villages, tortuous streets with stone houses and large farmhouses that show the interesting architecture of the area.

The villages are mostly agricultural, with some houses recently restored.​

It is a quiet area and unknown by tourism, with exuberant nature.​

The house is located on the access road to the Recasens Castle and very close to the impressive Romanesque monasteries: Sant Quirze de Colera in Rabos, Santa María de Vilabertran and Sant Pere de Roda from Vilajuiga.​

In Albera, a wine-growing area, each village has one or more wineries, some with scheduled visits, Capmany, Espolla, Masarac, Rabos, Perelada etc ... with large vineyards, DO Emporda.

At 10 km is Perelada, with its golf course, its castle/CASINO, luxury hotel and restaurant with SPA and organization of music concerts.

We can also visit the old fishing villages such as Port de la Selva, Cadaqués or Colera, quiet in winter, but lively in summer, with their small coves and the crystal clear water of Cap de Creus.

Cities

​Barcelona is 150 km from the A-7 motorway, less than 2 hours by car.

Just 15 minutes away are the towns of Figueres and La Jonquera.
